My name is Mandi Mayernik and I am an Interactive Media Designer. I have a strong background in the design world ranging from interactive military training, to print design, and I even own a photography studio. I live and breathe design and truly enjoy inspiring others through art, whatever form that may be.

Beyond design I categorize myself as a small town girl with big hopes and aspirations. I have an amazing husband and family. They’re my support system, my biggest fans, and my fellow board game enthusiasts.

Website Design

Website design and development pieces were created with ease of user experience in mind, client’s marketing strategies, and the best of web standards. The sites range from ground up design and development to utilizing a CMS such as WordPress to meet the client’s needs and budget.

: Century 21 website was designed with the goal of being easy to use due to the high volume of different types of internet users. I designed the flow and design of the front end of the portion of the site utilizing HTML and CSS. I also contributed to the Photography of the website banners. www.c21swr.com

: Design Mill website was created to broaden the company web experience and to gain new customers. Site was designed based on current branding standards and colors. I built and designed the site using Adobe Illustrator, HTML, CSS, and Actionscript 2.0.

: Jo-Carroll Energy website was designed with a fully customized one of a kind CMS system. I designed the flow and design of the front end of the portion of the site utilizing HTML, CSS, and Adobe Flash Actionscript 2.0. http://www.jocarroll.com/

: The Pahnke Real Estate website was created Wordpress and Wordpress plugins. The look and the feel of the site has been altered from a purchased template. I created all the designs and banners for the site to reflect a new and updated look and feel to the companies current branding. PHP was optomized to reflect pending, sold, and lowered price listings.

: The Poopy’s website was created with a fully functioning shopping cart add on. The site was built using Wordpress and Wordpress plugins. The look and the feel of the site has been altered from a purchased template. I created all the designs and banners for the site to reflect a new and updated look and feel to the companies current branding. www.poopys.com

: The Tristan and Isolde movie website was a course project to develop and interactive movie trailer website. The site consists of trailer downloads, movie previews, cast bios, and movie information.

Interactive Design

Interactive Design pieces were created with ease of user experience in mind. Most pieces were being developed for an e-learning application that would be used by a vast user knowledge base. All were designed using Adobe Illustrator and executed using Adobe Flash or by a 3rd party programming team utilizing Visual Studio.

: Glacier Park Interactive CD-ROM was a course project created to teach tourists visiting Glacier National Park about the wildlife, history, safety, and landmarks. Created using Adobe Flash and Actionscript 2.0

Logo Design

All logos have been designed and created using Adobe Illustrator. Client’s specific industry and audience were always taken into consideration along with future application that would further the brand.

Print and Collateral

Print and Collateral pieces were used to expand on a company’s current branding or design standards. I was the sole designer for the Design Mill inc. collateral and marketing pieces. Click & Save was developed for a grocery store promotion; from the tag line and logo to the signage.

Photography

I am also the owner photographer and designer of Candid Touch Photography and Design. I truly enjoy working with my clients and capturing special moments in their lives. Many session are very whimsical and stylized offering my clients a once in a lifetime session.

Illustration & T-Shirt Design

Illustration and T-shirt designs were created and executed using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. My illustration style is simplistic and animated utilizing bright colors and humor to portray a theme. Most shirt’s were completed for online sales and contests.

Installation Design

The Rock Island Arsenal Museum: Early History exhibit was a design to full blown wood and nail installation. I was the Graphic Specialist designing all the signage, selecting and creating wall textures, manipulating vintage photos, designing building structures, and creating the interface for the Rock Island Prisoner Database. All designs and materials adhere to museum standards and regulations.
